WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Authority and Integrity of the Holy Sciptures. The Basic content of Our Doctrinal Preaching and Teaching: The Pre-existence, Deity and incarnation by the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The fall of man, his consequent spiritual death and utter sinfulness, and the necessity of His New Birth. The vicarious atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ in the body, and His subsequent Glorification. Justification by personal faith in Jesus Christ. The personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit who indwells the Christian and is His Comforter and Guide. The pesonal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ from heaven as King of Kings and Lord of Lords our glorious goal. The Christian should "not conform to this world, but trasformed by the renewing of out mind". The Christian should observe, as his duty and privilege, the ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ, (a) Baptism of believers by immersion and (b) the Lord's Supper.
HISTORY OF OUR CHURCH
Liberty Tabernacle Ministries was founded after a life changing “shut in and fast” in September of 1998. The Holy Spirit placed into my spirit like never before the unction to lead God’s people from the hindering circumstances of our present ministry to deliverance and abundant life.
While shut in, with tears in my eye sand on my body quivering, the Lord plainly showed me the real meaning of the theme of the Church that I belonged to at that time. So with total dependency on God, we acted on that theme, and took the Great Leap of Faith in 1988.
After which the Lord shared with me, in no uncertain terms, he would continue to powerfully bless and grow the ministry. As I taught and preached:
He has come to set us free from every negative image this mean world has given us of ourselves; God loves us with an everlasting love, and with faith in God, all things are possible.
Our organizing meeting on October 7,1998, was at the full Grace Temple, MBC, and it was filled with love, harmony and the awesome power of the Holy Spirit.
Please hear me; the most miraculous thing about this whole experience was that God showed me how many persons would be a part of this ministry at its conception, before one person joined.
On October 11, 1998, at the Vision Theater, our first Worship it happened just as He said, though a little dark and cold at times, we knew Jesus is the light of the world and the Spirit was like fire, shut up in our bones. We grew in faith, love and joy, and the Lord added to our Church Family.
After 2 1/2 years of growing and praising in spite of the Lord, God has smiled on us and wonderfully and awesomely blessed us to move into our present facility.
